Sarah qualified as a dental surgeon in 1999 from Bristol University Dental Hospital. She worked as a general dentist in a practice in Bristol. This was followed by various specialist hospital posts in Bristol and Liverpool where Sarah gained a wide experience in orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, oral medicine, special needs dentistry, restorative and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This vast experience enabled her to gain her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. She then worked as a specialist in paediatric dentistry in Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and Liverpool University Teaching Hospital.
Sarah started her Orthodontic postgraduate training in 2003 at The Eastman Dental Hospital, The Royal Berkshire Hospital and Slough Wexham Park Hospital. In 2006 she gained her MSc in Orthodontics from UCL and in January 2007 completed her specialist training and her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Sarah is therefore registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council Specialist list.
She is a registered user of the Incognito lingual orthodontic appliance system of which she has a particular interest and has been accredited to use Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s). Sarah is a member of the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) and has previously been involved with committee work with the BDA and the BOS orthodontic specialist group.
Sarah brings her expertise in treating nervous patients and adults requiring more complex treatment using a range of fixed and removable appliance types.
Sarah is a mother of two young girls, and tried to find time to practice Yoga and Pilates when time permits.
